Esthiology Tutoring for Estheticians, Cosmetologists, Nurses & Physicians

Mequon Thiensville School of Esthetics is offering private classes based on the number of days and classes of training you would like to take.

The private tutoring  is for Licensed Cosmetologists, Estheticians, Nurses and Physicians seeking specialized training in basic and/or advanced esthiology. Our extensive program includes comprehensive coverage of theory, treatments and practice, based on your prior training.

Tutoring, or private sessions, are offered for professionals who want to expand their services, or who need to obtain recertification.  Training can be tailored to your needs in any area of services we offer, such as facials,  microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, chemical exfoliation, and laser.  Professionals in the area of cosmetology and the medical field who have not had basic training in areas of skin analysis, skin care equipment, treatment room prep, and basics that pertain to skin care will need to train in those areas.   Certified Estheticians have already received basic training and can train in specific interests for recertification or advanced technologies.

All training includes demonstrations and hands-on.  Examples of training sessions are as follows, but may also be tailored to your needs:

Introduction to Advanced Facials

• Skin Analysis
• Skin Care Equipment (Brush Machine, High Frequency, etc.)
• Intake Forms
• Treatment Room Preparation
• Choosing the Appropriate Treatment
• Introduction to Advanced Massage Techniques
• Manual and Lancet Extractions

Introduction to Microdermabrasion

• Intake Forms
• Theory of Microdermabrasion
• Incorporating microdermabrasion with other services (facials, chemical exfoliations, dermaplaning, laser)
• Contraindications (when not to perform microdermabrasion)
• Recommended frequency of client treatments
• Selection and care of equipment

Introduction to Dermaplaning

• Intake Forms
• Theory of Dermaplaning
• Incorporating dermplaning with other services (facials, chemical exfoliations, microdermabrasion, laser)
• Contraindications (when not to perform dermaplaning)
• Recommended frequency of client treatments
• Training includes tools and proper handling

 Introduction to Chemical Exfoliation

• Intake Forms
• Theory of Chemical Exfoliation
• Incorporating chemical exfoliation with other services (facials, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, laser)
• Contraindications (when not to perform chemical exfoliation)
• Recommended frequency of client treatments
• Types of chemical peels and suitability for client skin type and desired outcome

Body Waxing

• Intake Forms
• Theory of Waxing
• Body waxing includes instruction in areas of eyebrows, lip, chin, sideburns, bikini, legs, arms, underarms, etc
• Contraindications (when not to perform waxing)
